Through the winter we drive to the Grand Hirafu side twice every morning, at 8:00 and 9:00.
There is no return pickup. Take the bus from the Hirafu Welcome Center back to Kutchan Station; the hostel is about a 10-minute walk from there.

At the height of the winter season the roads get congested and the bus can run later still. For the return trip, take the bus from the Hirafu Welcome Center to Kutchan Station; the hostel is about a 10-minute walk from there.
